Wesley Financial Group, who is one of theleaders in timeshare cancellation have reported that they have experiencedhuge increase in consumer inquiries during the month of April. To put it into perspective this is about 35% more than the last highest experienced in month of January.
About 20,800 timeshare owners have reached out to WFG asking for help in getting rid of their timeshare obligations.
As reported in Forbes and USA Today, in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, a flood of timeshare owners have tried to use the opportunity to cancel their reservations or even their contracts, citing travel bans and health fears that make them untenable.
However, the pandemic is not the only reason for this surge in cancellation request according to timeshare release companies. As it is well known now, there are plenty of valid reasons to cancel a contract for a timeshare, including exorbitant maintenance fees, false advertising, and fraud.
